Great Social Welfare Work by Urja to fight against Covid-19

 In the wake of the current global crisis, especially that our nation faces, Urja Foundation like in the past, this time also has embarked on certain initiatives along with Anchalia Organization and Apna Ghar Foundation to help in the war against Covid-19 in the best way it can. 

   The initiatives are:-

            Committed and pledged 11 (Eleven) Crore Rupees for:

·    Personal protective equipment for medical personnel, and caretakers of the patient

·    Distribution of surgical masks, sanitizers, necessary equipment, and food packets

·    Installation of sanitizer showers in different cities

·    Knowledge transfer for general public

Committed and pledged 5 (Five) Crore Rupees in line with UNICEF policy for Child Trauma Care Centre

Donated 11 (Eleven) Lakh Rupees to Pradhan Mantri National Relief Fund

Donated 5 (Five) Lakh Rupees to Gau Fund

Donated 5(Five) Lakh Rupees to West Bengal State Emergency Relief Fund Surgical Face Mask Distribution (Distributed 547613 and counting)

Food and Milk Distribution to 1000+lives daily (Distributed 83452 packets and counting)

Sanitizer Distribution (Distributed 13643 and counting)

      Sanitization of personal spaces (9659 families and counting) 

   Public Space Sanitization Covered 26(Twenty Six) Sq km area and counting

Medicine Distribution (Distributed Camphor 1M- 79865 and counting (Homeopathy), and Kaadha 34629 (Ayurvedic) and counting)

    Medicine Distribution (Distributed Allopathy medicine to 7352 and counting)

             We helped 60000+ migrants and counting:

·  Helped 13700 migrants reach government designated depos

·  Helped 8900 migrants reunite with families

·  Distribution of food, medicine and water to migrants. (Food- 14000, Medicine- 3400, Water- 19000, and counting)

·  In talks with government and industry for employment of dispersed labours.

All the above initiatives are being funded and managed by Urja Foundation. The foundation respects and thanks its Trustees, Members, Volunteers, Interns, Police Department, Local clubs, State Government, Central Government for their support,courage and bravery.
