Social Welfare for Tribal Women by 'Lion Magnate' Krishnendu Ghosh

Krishnendu Ghosh is by profession a much-respected School Inspector under Govt. of W.B. 
He is a National Award Winner from Ministry of Human Resources & Development, Govt. of India. 
   By passion, he is a die-hard social activist. He has devoted his life to performing  consistently various social welfare activities in rural areas, esp. Sundarbans, WB. He has been tirelessly working for the upliftment of marginalised tribals, especially trying to make women aware of hygiene. He is greatly respected by the locals who lovingly call him by the name 'Pad Man' of Sundarban.
    Krishnendu Ghosh has recently been inducted as Hony. Advisor of 'Lions Club of Kolkata Magnates'.
   On 23rd August, Krishnendu Ghosh organized a Health Awareness Program for the underprivileged women of a small village under Mandirbazar Police Station in South 24 Parganas. The village is inhabited by poor Tribal people. The family situation of those who lost their jobs in the lockdown is very miserable and a few husbands have also abandoned their wives. In this situation,'Lion Magnate'  Krishnendu Ghosh came forward and distributed sanitary napkins, soaps and ointments amongst these poor women. He also gave them vital advice about hygiene and how to keep safe during this pandemic situation.
    "Such exemplary services by 'Lion Magnate' Krishnendu Ghosh should motivate us all to perform much more for the holistic development of our society," remarked Asish Basak, Charter President of 'Lions Club of Kolkata Magnates'.
