Kashyap’s ‘The Retribution’ gets you ready into the darker side of life - drug, crime and homosexuality

Multi-dimensional author Shankar Kashyap comes up with his first psychological thriller in ”The Retribution”. The book has all the ingredients of a good thriller - a gripping story line, strongly built characters and the right degree of twists in the plot. The narration used in the book is so gripping and realistic that along with the protagonist, you, as a reader, too will end up moving from UK to Kenya.
The protagonist Dev Sharma depicts a unique character which grabs instant attention and you embark on a journey full of rapid swirls. The detective introduced Sean O'Connor also is a cult character and as you start understanding him, you feel like seeing more of him. Anyone who has read the book, I’m sure has already started to wait for O’Connor to return.
It is never easy to build a character which has two sides to it and then develop over it. Kashyap does it with an ease as he keeps building Dev’s character. What is even more commendable is the way the character of Sheena has been presented who is just like a modern lady having many shades and the pace at which the unfolding of the character happens is simply mind blowing.
