As the sun rose on a brand new season of the IGU East Zone Feeder & Sub-Junior Tour, Anshul Mishra staked claim at the Milky Moo Tolly Juniors after carding a one-over 71 in Category D at the Par-70 Tollygunge Club on Tuesday.
Following Anshul were Prashant Agarwal, six strokes behind in second place with a 77 and Biswakrit Ghosh in third.
Aryav Shah highlighted the A&B Category with an 80 with Raktim Ghosh and Anish Rajak tied for second place four strokes behind at 84. Ansh Arya was placed a further stroke behind in fourth place with the fifth placed shared by Harshvardhan Agarwala and Arihant Raj Modi who were three strokes behind.
Aryav also leads Category B standings with Raktim & Ansh filling up the podium places at the halfway stage.
The competition is much more closer in the other categories starting with Category C as Aditya Khaitan with 82 is followed by the trio os Armaan Tekriwal, Ahaan Gupta & Rishi Biswas in tied second place one stroke behind. Viranca Poddar is fifth a further four strokes behind at 87.
Category E has Hredaan Raj Bihani, Darshit Chaurasia and Varish Mohta all in contention after carding identical 41s. Hredaan had a lovely birdie to thank for his five-over par round.
Amongst the girls, Kashish Khanna is in pole position to win Category C event over Sana Hussain in second place.
