"Wish to Create Good Music": Sumana

Sumana Samanta Mukhopadhyay, based in Bardhaman, WB is fast emerging as a well-known singer. Sumana Is also a Professor but she is focussed on becoming a great singer.

 She did her schooling in Bohar Girls High School and had completed her Graduation in Mathematics from Bardhaman College. She Completed her Masters Degree in Statistics from Bardhaman University. Sumana started her singing at the age of 7 years, getting invaluable tutelage from her Mother. She also learnt from great masters like Pandit Sougata Bandhopadhyay. Through proper training, intense practices and sincerity, she has attained great skills in Classical, Nazrul Geeti and Bhajans.

  Her first album was released in 2016 - “Anguler Altoo Choyae" from Cozmic Harmony. The Composer was famous song-writer Rajib Chakraborty. She has other popular album- ”Bhalobasar Akash", "Maya  Bhora Chokh", "Rupkathar Rajkumar", "Raat Nujhum", etc.. 

  Sumana has also done play-back for movies. She worked in two film as a play-back singer, “Aleya” and “Dear I love You". She has also worked in Hindi series with Mumbai production. She also wishes  to do acting in good roles. Sumana loves to experiment with various types of music and also relax with her little daughter Rahi. 

  Sumana is devoted to her singing and to excel in music is her only aim in life. 

     For her outstanding talents and dedication towards singing, on 9th May, 'Angela Events' will present Sumana Mukherjee a special 'Kavi Guru Smarane Sammanana 2019' during a colourful eve at Birla Planetarium.
