The 7th International Data Science Summit, by far the largest and considered to be the best in its segment across India, is to be held on 20th Sept. at Biswa Bangla Convention Center, Kolkata.
The summit is organized by Data Science Foundation (DSF), https:// datasciencefoundation.org/, a city-based organisation and is supported by NASSCOM, STPI and the West Bengal Government IT Department. According to Gautam Banerjee, President DSF and himself a Data Science Expert, The foundation is a non-profit entity dedicated to the cause of data science and is governed by executive council members from companies/organizations like Zee5, Salesforce, Hitachi, Cognizant, Business Brio, IIM B, ANZ, Northern Trust, Honeywell and others.
Elaborating on the features of the summit, Gautam Banerjee added, that the summit will provide a platform to discuss applications, challenges and opportunities in Data Science & AI in corporate, government & social sector among practitioners, leaders and aspirants globally. He further adds that this edition will witness more than 300 senior level delegates across different cities attend the summit. This year coveted speakers are from Salesforce, Hitachi, ZEE5, Gramener, HSBC, Bosch, Hughes etc and other organization, spread across from India, UK and Switzerland.
According to industry sources, There are expectations & possibilities of reputed companies from outside Bengal to collaborate/tie-up with companies from Bengal in the field of Data Science through the summit, providing further fillip to the growing stature of the state and city as a powerhouse in the segment.
