On 5th Sept., to commemorate Teachers' Day, 'Kolkata Alor Disha Welfare Society', a fast-rising NGO had organized a socio-cultural welfare program at KG Memorial Hall, Sealdah.
The NGO, led by its Founder Amit & Piyali Basu Roy Chowdhury had felicitated 10 teachers of 'Sangbedan' (NGO that works for differently-abled people).
This grand initiative was supported by a host of dignitaries like Samit Saha, Shankar Ghosh, Bidyut Dey, Dipa Das, Mita Ghosh, Dr. Arun Kumar and others.
During this program, Samir Banerjee (Secretary - Mallabhum Sahitya Academy) and Asish Basak, Editor-Director- 'Hello Kolkata' handed over 'Mother Teresa Award' for outstanding socio-cultural welfare to Bangladeshi social workers S.M. Enamul Haq and Md. Lutfor Rahaman Latif.
