Smt. Toompa Datta is a senior officer in the Department of Agriculture, WB. She has upheld the virtue of humanity by donating a hand cycle cart for a handicapped lady without even knowing her personally. In memory of her departed Father she did her bit to reach out to a needy family.
"Her noble deeds as a service to the weaker section of society which will eventually enable the family to earn a livelihood is really admirable. We pray for her well being and expect more of such noble endeavours," remarked Babulal Malakar, a veteran journalist, who has been devoted to social welfare since many years.
Babulal Malakar is the Secretary of Adibasi Taposhili Pratibandhi Welfare Organizations.
Smt. Toompa Datta has been anointed as a Senior Advisor of this social welfare organization.
During this lockdown, Babulal has led his other members to serve the needy and hungry people, especially in Icchhapur area. He has also got support from NRI Japanese.
The collective compassion and support for poor people is really exemplary and people like Smt. Toompa Datta are a rare kind, remarked Babulal Malakar.
