Inner Wheel Club of Calcutta South East, a part of Inner Wheel District 329, celebrated its 37th Foundation Day on 11th December. The focal pint of the function, held at Nari Seva Sangha, Jodhpur Park, was a seminar on 'VISION' - a project of corneal transplant or Keratoplasty. IWCCSE has already sponsored 25 patients and a few were present to tell about their successful surgeries. The surgeries are done in collaboration with M.P Birla Eye Clinic, Kolkata.
District Chairman Dr. Mrs Ruchi Gupta was the Chief Guest and she urged the audience to disseminate the information to raise awareness for eye donation. Many people present took the pledge by filling up the pledge cards. Dr Pallavi who conducted the seminar vouched that there has been a spurt of donors after such seminars.
The Club souvenir of IWCCSE was also released by the host of dignitaries.
