Every year, December 16th is celebrated as Vijay Diwas to commemorate the victory of the Indian Armed Forces along with Mukti-Bahini, over Pakistan. This day is celebrated as a day of remembrance of those who sacrificed their lives during the 1971 liberation war of Bangladesh.
As part of the Vijay Diwas celebrations, today an interactive session of Mukti joddhas was held at Fort William.
A 70 member delegation, led by Mr Shajahan Khan Independence Award, MP, Bangladesh attended solemn occasion and shared his experience. He said Bangladesh would’nt forget the Indian contribution in the liberation of Bangladesh in 1971.
