Due to Public agitation for non railway issue In Howrah-Kharagpur section in various stations from 11.00 hrs (14.12.19) train services were affected badly. As a result upto 17.00 hrs on date, 16 Mail/Express trains have been cancelled for different directions. 7 Mail/Express trains have been short terminated/short originated instead of Howrah/Shalimar/Santragachi. 5 trains have been diverted via Asansol to avoid the affected stations. The situation not yet normalized.
On account of Public agitation apart from damaged caused yesterday at Uluberia station, today extensively damaged has been caused at Sankrail, Nalpur, Bauria and Chengail stations.
