Indian Statistical Institute felicitated Shri Pranab Mukherjee, Hon’ble Former President of India and the former Chairman of the Institute on 11th December, 2019 in Platinum Jubilee Auditorium of the Institute at 6 PM for being conferred with Bharat Ratna, the highest civilan award of the nation. The presence of Shri Jagdeep Dhankar, Hon’ble Governor of West Bengal and Shri Tapas Kumar Sanyal, Director General (ES), Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation, Government of India in this occasion has made the programme more auspicious. Padmashree Shri Bibek Debroy, Chairman, Economic Advisory Council to Prime Minister and President, Indian Statistical Institute delivered welcome address to the guests and felicitated Shri Pranab Mukherjee with a shawl, and Prof. Sanghamitra Bandyopadhyay, Director, ISI presented him a memento on behalf of the Institute.
