Air Chief Marshal Rakesh Kumar Singh Bhadauria, Chief of the Air Staff Indian Air Force accompanied by Smt Asha Bhadauria, President AFWWA visited Headquarters Eastern Air Command (EAC) at Shillong from 04 to 05 Mar 20 for the annual Commanders' Conference. They were received by Air Marshal R D Mathur, Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief, EAC and Smt Shipra Mathur, President AFWWA (Regional).
The CAS awarded trophies to the Commanders for achieving excellence in the fields of Operations, Maintenance and Administration. Air Force Station Tezpur was awarded the trophy of 'Best Flying Station - Pride of EAC' and Air Force Station Laitkor Peak was declared the 'Best Non-Flying Station'.
