Protest Meet by Human Rights CPDR India

Human Rights CPDR India had organized a Protest Meet at Kolkata Press Club on 11th March. The main agenda was to demand justice for those killed, injured or affected during the atrocities committed in Delhi.
CPDR's All India Secretary Biplab Ghosh put forth the organization's views that BJP-led Central Govt. had erred grossly in mis-treating so many people without any provocation. The speakers of the forum vociferously protested against barring Indians of all classes from their basic fundamental rights of Freedom of Speech and Action. They demanded suitable compensation and swift justice for the deceased and injured and also for all affected by the indiscriminate police-firing on an unsuspecting mob.
The discussion forum, organized by Human Rights CPDR India, consisted of a host of dignitaries, including former Supreme Court Justice Ashoke Ganguly, Bharati Mutsuddi (Advocate & ex-Member of Mahila Commission), poet Kinnor Roy, Anjan Sinha, Arup Bhanja & others.
