High hopes from India's Udit Gogoi goes down against 2nd seeded Raphael Collignon of Belgium as the later books a semi final berth at the ongoing DKS ITF JUNIOR TENNIS CHAMPIONSHIP 2020, been held at the synthetic courts of the Bengal Tennis Association Complex.
Collignon will meet unseeded Daniel Ibragimov of Russia in the semi final.
In the Girls Singles quarter final, Taipei's Yu Yun Li stretched top seeded Maria Sholokhova to the wires as the later fought for a little above 2 hrs and 10 mins to enter semi finals with a 6-3,3-6,6-2 win. Sholokhova will face Italy's Alessandra Simone, seeded 4 in the draw, at the semi finals.
Unseeded pair of Tanapatt Nirundorn of Thailand and Yamato Sueoka of Japan entered the finals of the Boys Doubles, as they won a close semi final battle against Samer Al Tori and Daniel Ibragimov by a nail-biting 6-4,3-6,10-7. The duo will be pitted against 4th seeded combination of Orel Kimhi of Israel and Woobin Shin of Korea, who in turn got the better of Udit Gogoi and Taym Alazmeh in the semi finals today.
in the Girls Doubles, the Chinese pair of Xinyue Hu and Jiaqi Huang sets up a summit clash against Mei Hasegawa of Japan and Yu Yun Li of Taipei.
