5th year of SCREEN SHORT FEST will be held at Sarat Sadan, Howrah on January 22, 4 - 9 pm. The Fest will showcase small budget short length films, both local and foreign films, informed Festival Director Soham Banerjee.
Nilanjan Bhowmik, Chairperson of the Fest Committee remarked, "Recognition of good pictures is our main objective. This year, 53 foreign films has been submitted in our festival, and total no. of submitted films are 143. Live action short film and animated short film, the maximum time between these two short film sections is 20 minutes. In addition to the recognition of domestic and foreign film, we award six different categories for Bengali film. There are the best cinematographers, the best editors, and the best background score creators of those short films.”
Apart from all these, Screen Short Fest Committee organizes Film Content Writing Competition among Bengali screen writers. This is the 5th year. There are 21 selected writer nominees waiting for the final phase of award declaration.
