Workshop to raise Pollution Literacy

A workshop, jointly organized by Active Citizens Together For Sustainability (ACTS) and EPIC India, was held at The Bhawanipur Educational Society College on 27th January. Aimed to raise pollution literacy, the workshop focused on Air Quality Life Index (AQLI) and other air pollution-related challenges that clouds capital city’s air. The meeting, jointly organized by Active Citizens Together For Sustainability (ACTS) and EPIC India, was held at The Bhawanipur Educational Society College on 27th January.  

     Speaking at the occasion, Dr Kalyan Rudra Chairman, West Bengal Pollution Control Board said, "It builds hope when the air quality of the city appears better than the past few years due to our regulatory actions."
      Dr Deepanjan Majumdar (Principal Scientist and Head NEERI), Prof Dilip Shah (Dean Of Students Affair of The Bhawanipur Educational Society), Dr. Sanjukta Dutta (Fortis Hospital, Kolkata), Dr. Suman Mallik (Clinical Director, Chief of Radiation Oncology, Narayana Superspeciality Hospital Howrah), Mr. Ajay Mittal (Co-Founder ACTS  and Kolkata Clean Air) and a host of other dignitaries were also present to support the cause.
