In the wake of the current global crisis and national emergency situation, Urja Foundation has embarked on certain initiatives along with Anchalia Organization and Apna Ghar Foundation to help in the war against Covid19.
The initiatives are:- Urja Group committed and pledged 11 (Eleven) Crore Rupees for Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for medical personnel and caretakers of the patient, distribution of surgical masks, sanitizers and necessary equipment, Installation of sanitizer showers in different cities,
Distribution of food packets, Knowledge transfer for general public.
They have Committed and pledged 5(Five) Crore Rupees in line with UNICEF policy for Child Trauma Care Centre, Donated 11 (Eleven) Lakh Rupees to Pradhan Mantri National Relief Fund, Donated 5 (Five) Lakh Rupees to Gau Fund, Donated 5(Five) Lakh Rupees to West Bengal State Emergency Relief Fund, Surgical Face Mask Distribution (359063 and counting), Food and Milk Distribution to1000+people daily (Distributed 37189 packets and counting), Public Space Sanitization Covered16 (Sixteen) sq km area and counting, Awareness measures including digital method.
All the above initiatives are being funded and managed by Urja Foundation. The foundation respects and thanks its Trustees, Members, Volunteers, Interns, Police Department,Local clubs for their support,courage and bravery. Foundation further thanks every organization and individual who is doing their best by staying at home, working in hospitals, on the streets,and others who are risking their lives and safety to help fight this pandemic.
