LIONS CLUB OF CALCUTTA KANKURGACHHI, District 322B2 and INCOME TAX BAR ASSOCIATION are jointly providing meals to around 5000 people on a daily basis. Starting from 29th March, 2020 both the organizations joined hands to help needy and hungry people of our society. The organization has been preparing Luchi, Aloo Sabji, Masala Khichdi, and distributing the food in association with various Police stations of the City as well as distributed Dry Ration at various places of Bidhannagar and Howrah district in collaboration with Howrah Police. The organizations are not only doing the social service but has also kept in mind the various function and celebrated it like for Poila Boishak, Kheeranand was prepared and for Ashtami of Navratri Halwa & Channa was prepared and distributed.
The whole preparation of food is been done at the premises of Lions Club of Calcutta Kankurgachhi Hospital “Lions Jyoti Raksha” at 19A, Ultadanga Main Road, Muraripukur, Kolkata – 700 067 and has been taken care by the members of Lions Club and Income Tax Bar Association keeping in mind and abiding by all the safety measure of State and Centre.
Lions Club of Calcutta Kankurgachhi, District 322B2 and Income Tax Bar Association has joined hands to fight this crisis of Covid-19 pandemic and will try their best to assist the administration in preparation of food as much as possible till 3rd May, 2020.
From 17th April, 2020 with the efforts of both the organisations, second kitchen was established with the help of Phoolbagan P.S., through which they can cater to more 2000 needy & hungry people of the society.
From 17th April, 2020 they are feeding 7000 approx people of the society.
