Railway Protection Force (RPF) of Eastern Railway (ER) continues to provide cooked meals to needy people in the midst of nation-wide lockdown due to the outbreak of COVID-19. Food distribution is being done to poor, destitute, beggars, children, coolies, migrant labourers, stranded persons and whoever else comes in search of food at and near the railway stations every day. The food is being prepared by RPF/NGO & IRCTC and the same is being distributed every day by RPF personnel all over the jurisdiction of ER.
This apart, food grains and vegetables were also distributed by RPF/ER personnel among 270 families near Dum Dum Jn., New Farakka, Durgapur and Jamtara Railway stations.
