ER is running time tabled Parcel Express Trains in 8 different routes for speedy transport of essential commodities and other merchandise to different places during lock down period. These Parcel Express Trains are running in Sealdah – Guwahati – Sealdah, Howrah – Guwahati – Howrah, Sealdah – Malda Town – Sealdah, Howrah – Jamalpur – Howrah, Howrah – New Delhi – Howrah, Sealdah – New Delhi – Sealdah , Howrah – Mumbai CSMT – Howrah and Howrah- Bhopal -Howrah routes.
Jamalpur-Howrah Parcel Express train has become a means of sending ‘Ghee’ from Bhagalpur and Sahibganj area to Kolkata/Howrah market for maintaining smooth supply of this popular consumable at Kolkata and other areas in West Bengal. Howrah-Jamalpur-Howrah Parcel Express is running daily ex-Howrah from 10 April to 3 May and ex-Jamalpur from 11 April to 4 May, 2020. Through Jamalpur-Howrah Parcel Express train, 682 Tin of Ghee (total weight 12.07 tons) has been sent till date from Bhagalpur / Sahibganj area for catering the need of people during lock down period.
