Calcutta Polo Club, the oldest Polo Club situated in Kolkata had a corporate day-out with the JCI Kolkata members and employees at the Polo Club Ranch amidst horses on 23rd Feb. It is to keep the heritage of Calcutta Polo Club alive amongst the current and upcoming leading generation as well and encourage youngsters to take up polo and make it their hobby or career.   The club support all polo enthusiasts by subsidizing the sport and making it easily accessible and affordable, informed  Keshav Bangur,  CPC's President.

The Calcutta Polo Club was established by two British soldiers, Captain Robert Stewart and (later Major General) Joe Sherer in 1862. The Calcutta Polo Club was founded with the subsequent creation of a new format.  They were inspired by the game in Manipur and later they spread the game to their peers in England.
After Calcutta Polo Club was laid-off by the military in 1998, despite of the negligence and time lapse the club was revived, at the initiative of Keshav Bangur, CPC's current President.
