A cycle expedition organised as part of the ongoing Diamond Jubilee celebrations of Eastern Air Command was flagged in by Air Marshal RD Mathur, Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Eastern Air Command on 26 Feb 2020 at Air Force Station Guwahati. The expedition that commenced on 20 Feb 2020 had air warriors participating from Purnea, Chabua and Shillong bases, divided in three teams with 11 members each. Flagged off by Air Commodore Vikas Sharma, AOC, AF stn Chabua and Gp Capt N Hari Krishnan, Stn Commander Purnea, the teams were led by Gp Capt Rajdeep Singh, Flight Lieutenant K Wisdom and Group Captain R Rex. The teams interacted with students enroute and motivated them to join the armed forces. The members of the three expedition teams were led to Guwahati from Digaru by Air Vice Marshal B Chandra Sekhar, SOA Eastern Air Command.
