Institute of Hotel Management (IHM), Kolkata organized a program titled 'Ek Sbaam Gujarat Ke Naam' on February 14, 2020 at IHM Campus, Kolkata to depict the ethnicity, style, quisine and culture of the Gujarati community through various forms of dances including Dandia and mouth-watering dishes from the state as a part of the initiative 'Dekho Aapna Desh' launched by the Union Minister for Tourism (IC), Shri Prahlad Singh Patel.
Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi in his Independence Day speech on August 15, 2019 made an appeal to every citizen to visit at least 15 destinations by the year 2022 to promote domestic tourism in India for enhansing tourist foot falls there to develop the local economy. This initiative of IHM is a part of the initiative taken by the Union Government.
