One of India’s largest multi channel networks (MCN), ILN Studios has launched Smule iDiva ‘1, 2, 3... Riyaaz’, India’s first digital-only musical reality show. The show built around iDIva’s marquee IP 123 Riyaaz, would see Punjabi Pop heartthrob Jassie Gill, ‘Tareefan’ sensation Lisa Mishra and the face of iDiva, Kusha Kapila rallying their musically-charged tribes to participate in musical challenges, sing with them on Smule, win weekly challenges and get the chance to feature with them in an original music video.
Slated across 12 weeks, 12 songs and 12 challenges, the ultimate goal of ‘1, 2, 3... Riyaaz’ is to make a collaborative music platform that doesn’t look at music as an academic subject but rather a means to connect with people and have fun.
Smule President, Bill Bradford said, “India is an interesting market for us, as we see young audiences that take up music lessons and are passionate about music creation, but as they grow older this hobby takes a back seat. With this partnership, we want to give everyone an opportunity to experience the journey of re-discovering their passion for singing, performing and being a star."
