Sri Ashok Sharma is a popular social activist, based in North Dumdum Municipality Ward No. 22. He supports regularly various socio-cultural welfare activities like blood donation, health camps, food & clothes distribution for students and old people, marriage of helpless girls, cultural programs of differently-abled children, etc. Recently, Ashok Sharma was the Guest of Honour during the voluntary Blood Donation and Health Check-up Camp held by Netaji Subhash Chandra Basu Seba Pratishthan at Dumdum Cantonment. As a mark of recognition for his outstanding socio-cultural welfare services, a 'Memento of Appreciation' was handed over to him by the Organizing Secretary Subhash Paul and his co-members like Sambhunath Saha and others.
