Docu-Fiction Film - "DUI BANGLA'

22nd February eve at Kolkata Press Club will witness the poster launch of a Docu-Fiction Film - "DUI BANGLA', projected to be reflections of Indo-Bangladeshi Socio-Cultural aspects and its indelible impact on both nation.
Jointly presented by 'Hello Kolkata' (of Epar Bangla, India) and 'Apu Siksha o Paribesh Unnayan Foundation' (NGO of Opar Bangla, Bangladesh), this film is conceptualised and directed by Asish Basak.
The poster unveiling ceremony, along with 'Hello Kolkata Excellence Awards', to be presented to a select few Bangladeshi and Indian achievers, will be attended by a constellation of talents from both Bengals, including the probable lady lead of the film Ms. Sangita Sinha and Jharna Sarkar (President of Bangladeshi NGO).

Other special guests will include representative members of all communities, both from Bangladesh and West Bengal.
In the times of NRC and CAA, the docu-fiction film -'DUI BANGLA' by Asish Basak is is more of an introspection by the film-maker, who has tried for a fine balance, set precariously in view of the ongoing upheaval and fractious current scenario in our country and also across the border  The film will bring forth the socio-cultural linkage between the two Bengals in spite of myriad trials and tribulations faced by millions of Bengalis, both here and there. In the midst of this onslaught of time-wrought changes, the vibrancy of the masses have proved that both Bengals ultimately thrive on the indomitable spirit of the quintessential COMMON MAN, the biggest and brightest of all the-Factors that make or break a society.
“Dui Bangla' by Asish Basak is set to also highlight other significant factors for all-inclusive growth of our society, including the role of the Media. But mostly it will highlight the Common Man’s intent to live on, his intense desire and will to survive despite all odds and also keep alive the rich socio-cultural heritage.
