Eastern Railway (ER) is continuously trying to stand beside the poor & destitute persons and arranging meals for needy people following the nation-wide lockdown. Food prepared by Railway Protection Force (RPF)/NGOs and IRCTC is distributed by ER’s RPF among the destitute persons regularly.
In continuation to this endeavour of providing food for the needy persons, today ER’s RPF distributed cooked food (lunch) among 1771 persons at different locations in and around Kolkata like Fairlie Place, Howrah, Sealdah, Bidhannagar, Park Circus, Budge Budge etc. and faraway places like Ranaghat, Berhampore, Sheoraphuli, Nabadwip Dham, Asansol etc.
Moreover, dinner for 245 persons is also prepared and the same distributed among the destitute persons by ER’s RPF personnel at different places in the ER jurisdiction.
