Alibaba co-founder Jack Ma has resigned from the board of SoftBank, as the company records its worst-ever annual loss of $12.7 billion. SoftBank’s Vision Fund, the world’s largest technology fund, booked a record loss of $17.7 billion for the fiscal year ended March 31, tipping the holding company into its first annual loss in 15 years. SoftBank's board approved a $4.7 billion share buyback to shore up its stock price and announced three new directors — including the first woman — following calls for board diversity.
