In this pandemic situation all parents facing matrimonial disputes and similar situations are estranged from their children and have no news about them and no means to connect with them to know about their welfare.
Ayushman Initiative for Child Rights has taken up this cause and filed a PIL in the Calcutta High Court where Hon'ble Court has taken note of this and observed that the parents have statutory right to contact their children through virtual means on Skype or video call and also said that lower courts must take up these Applications as urgent matter.
"We are trying to find a solution for the affected parents and children during this lockdown," informed Arijit Mitra, Secretary, Ayushman Initiative for Child Rights.
