Ice cream companies have started home delivery to combat a crash in sales amid the lockdown. Amul and Kwality Wall’s are delivering directly to housing societies, Havmor has partnered with Dunzo, while Mother Dairy is accepting orders through its website. Ice cream makers say around 40% of their annual sales are gone as the March-June period accounts for the bulk of volumes. India’s ice cream sales exceeded ₹17,500 crore last year, according to Euromonitor data.
