India is developing a 462,000-hectare land pool to lure businesses moving out of China,. The Centre has identified 10 sectors – including electronics, pharmaceuticals, and food processing – and asked embassies abroad to identify firms scouting for manufacturing destinations, the people told the news agency. Land acquisition has been a big hurdle for companies looking to invest in India, with large projects like Posco and Saudi Aramco marred by delays.
India should work on a pro-active plan to attract companies looking to exit China.
